How do you prepare for a session, shift, or presentation? What choices do you need to make? How do you assess what you need on the day of? Why should you warm up before you use your voice? This workshop helps each participant to prepare and to build a personalized warm-up specifically for your voice and your needs, following Jessica’s 5-step process. |
3. Express Yourself! More of you is a good thing.
Do you want to add warmth and depth to your voice? Do you want a broader range of emotion, or to strengthen your tone? This workshop expands the possibilities in your voice to allow greater range in expression and delivery. Learn resonance placement to keep your voice energetic and strong, to avoid vocal fatigue. |

Do you sound like you’re reading? Sing-songy? Monotone? Do you speak too fast or slowly? Want to sound more like yourself? This workshop covers techniques to add range, convey different moods, and add complexity to your sound, as well as the use of your imagination. |

This workshop covers how to identify what’s wrong, and how to talk to on-air reporters and hosts to get immediate results, solving common problems with read style, energy, and nerves. |
9. Wellness: Caring for your voice through Colds, Allergies, and other yucky things
You feel stuffy and your throat is full of crud, but you have to track a story or give a speech or do an important interview. What to do? In this workshop, Jessica will walk you through everything from preventative measures to keep your voice in top shape, to band-aid solutions to get the best of your voice when you think it’s past hope. Hint: Phlegm is the enemy!
